Elopement Wedding Photography :: Alisha+Preston :: The Return of Slotzilla

March 18, 2014

Our latest couple, Alisha & Preston, came to us all the way from snow covered Fargo, North Dakota. Not just to enjoy some 80 degree weather, but to get married at the famous Fremont Street Experience. Downtown Vegas is always one of my favorite places to shoot, so I was happy to oblige.

They brought along their close friend Ashley, who served a lot of important roles, maid of honor, flower girl, ring bearer, my lovely lighting assistant, oh and she was ordained as a minister just so she could marry her friends in Vegas. That’s pretty awesome!

We did a portrait session that spanned the length of Fremont Street, all while looking for the perfect spot to get them hitched. They finally decided that the neon clad archway of the newly remodeled Slotzilla was the perfect spot. It was a beautiful ceremony, with only a few crying breaks for Ashley. :)

I’d like to wish Alisha a happy birthday, and both Alisha & Preston a big congratulations!

Engagement Photography Session :: Marichel+Benjamin :: Where It All Began

March 10, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

This couple came to us all the way from Florida. They wanted to have their engagement photos shot in Las Vegas because it has a very special meaning to them, it’s where they met for the first time. Cue the "awwwwws!" Not to mention it has some of the most amazing natural backdrops for photos in the world, if I do say so myself.

Since their first date was at Border Grill, we swung by Mandalay Bay to get a couple of shots there to start off the session. We then moved over to Bellagio to start our South Strip Vegas Views Tour. After we caught the fountains we made our way to the bright lights of the Cosmo and Planet Hollywood and then finished up with a romantic stroll around the Paris. We even made them an awesome hybrid collage (photo & video) they can play at their wedding. I loved how it all turned out!

Engagement Shoot + Wedding Photos + Album = The Perfect Combo

The Engagement Session: The e-session is crucial. It's like a practice run for the big day. Even though we do a pretty good job of making all of our photo shoots light, fun and virtually painless, lets face it, none of you have a ton of photo shoot hours clocked. (Selfies not included.) This is the perfect way to get used to the camera, all while taking home of few great shots of you guys in your everyday clothes that are ideal for social media, wedding invites and guest books or just simply hanging on the wall. Our two hour Vegas Views walking photo tour is perfect for this and you even get to choose from three different options, North Strip, South Strip or the Fremont Street Experience.

The Wedding Day: Las Vegas Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and we are prepared for all of them! Eloping? No problem, our Vegas Views package also works perfectly for that too. Medium size wedding? Use our ala carte style and get just what you need. You need the total package? 8 hours? Sure. 10 hours? Yup. 12 hours? Anything for you. Double coverage? Why not three? Video coverage? Lets roll. Need a Photo Booth thrown in? It's the life of the party! We've got you covered.

The Album: In this digital era it's easy to forget about the most important part of the wedding, the memories. After all, this is one of the most important days of your life. Personally, the album is the entire reason I got into wedding photography to begin with. My sister and I would go through our parents wedding album for hours, studying every page like we hadn't already seen it a thousand times before. It has been passed down to us as a legacy of sorts and now stands as the only documentation of our unforgettable family. Still to this day it is what inspires me to capture those special moments in every wedding I shoot. And that is why we are happy to now offer The Heirloom Album.

One of our recent couples, Scholastica & John, took full advantage of all three components while recently eloping in Las Vegas. I could not be happier with the results. I'd like to share some highlights of their shoot here as well as a snippet of their album. Enjoy!

~ Mike

The Beauty of CES... After Parties!

January 14, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

Las Vegas is the convention mecca. There is pretty much some sort of convention or trade show going on 365 days a year in this town, but none of them compare to CES, Consumer Electronics Show. Whenever they are in town the after parties get just a bit bigger. That’s fine by us! This year, several tech companies got together to throw a huge bash at Surrender inside Encore at Wynn and they brought us out in full force to cover it. They wanted a Photo Booth, a Step & Repeat Red Carpet (custom backdrop provided by us) with photographer and an extra Photographer to roam the room. It was a tall order, but nothing we couldn’t handle. The best part of events this size is being able to work with more of our team, they are all so awesome and it's always a treat when we get to work together. Thanks to ADATA Technology, CyberPowerPC, In Win Development, Nvidia and LSI Corporation for making it happen. See ya next year. ~ Mike
