Burning Love

Canadian Firefighter Troy brought his fiancee Tammy to town for a fabulous Las Vegas Wedding. They flew in their entire family to celebrate the big day. We also had all hands on deck, shooting both wedding parties getting ready at multiple locations, all the way to their private reception inside Kahunaville at Treasure Island. Flames were a recurring theme throughout, none more prominent than Tammy’s amazing shoes. More brides need to bring the bling like that, it makes us photographers very very happy!

Quick Tip!

Planning one of our photography sessions here in Las Vegas? If you are not under any time constraints, consider picking a time about an hour before sunset. This way with our two hour package you get some shots with full daylight, some in the flattering light of dusk and some just about when night falls, so the lights and neon of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown really pop. Another bonus to scheduling at this time, as soon as your shoot is over the nightlife here is just heating up! I use this handy website to know the sunset times throughout the year - Sunset Times - Las Vegas I've include a couple of candids from one of these day to night shoots below.

It’s A Good Day For A Guinness

Usually when I associate Guinness with a holiday, it is typically St Patrick’s Day. This time it’s Easter and it’s the Guinness Book of World Records. Providence Master Housing Community brought us out to take pictures of their Spring Fling 2012 at Knickerbocker Park in NW Las Vegas. There were lots of great vendors and some fun activities for the kids including egg and spoon races and sidewalk chalk drawing. But the highlight of the day was they’re successful attempt to set a Guinness Record for most people wearing bunny ears at one time. It was very festive and an absolute blast photographing this event, even I was sporting some ears!

I Admit, I Miss The Summit

The 5th Annual OMG Cancer Summit for Young Adults at the Palms Casino Resort has come and gone, but not without leaving a huge mark on my heart. After three solid days of shooting (and rockin' the photo booth) this entire conference you would think I would be exhausted, but to the contrary I am actually sad to see it go. It was the experience of a lifetime. Anyone who has had Cancer affect their life in any way could find all the inspiration you could ever imagine from this conference. The stories from newly diagnosed to survivors to dedicated caretakers, it was all very intense yet strangely comforting. I met some absolutely amazing people, some that I now consider to be lifelong friends. I truly miss all of them. The only thing that made me feel better was when StupidCancer.org announced that the OMG Summit will be back in Las Vegas for 2013. I am counting the days.

On a side note, one of the many great people that I met at OMG is Alli Ward. She is one of the many people affected by Cancer that have decided to “Get busy living”. Along with her new colorful sock fetish, she is embracing on a journey she likes to call Allipalooza. Having been on a similar journey, this really caught my attention and I would like to send a shout out to her blog. Please check it out.
