We wouldn't say that quite yet, but it is a trend we've seen more of lately and Yahoo agrees. Check out what they have to say and some bold gowns here: Beautiful black wedding gowns. Also take a look at our recent bride Erin, wearing a stunning black gown, whose elopement with Tyler here in Vegas this week we were lucky enough to cover. - CS
Simply Bridal sent us over this adorable graphic of charming wedding traditions to bring you luck! This being Vegas, where everybody can use a bit of good fortune, we figured we'd share. Who knows? You may also get lucky searching their awesome selection of gorgeous and affordable wedding gowns. Happy Saint Patty's everyone! - CS

So much for my new year’s resolution to write more blog posts. Sorry I have been slacking, but the new website is coming along nicely, won't be long now. That being said, every once in awhile an event comes along that you just have to talk about. This past week we were brought out by Sin City Entertainment to cover a corporate party at the Golden Nugget featuring their fabulous showgirls and Rat Pack performers. We had one photographer working the red carpet step and repeat and I was covering the stage show.
Now without ageing myself too much, I can honestly say I can remember when the real Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin & the chairman of the board himself, Frank Sinatra, were still performing on The Strip. No, not in the heyday of their careers, I’m not that old, but I do remember them limping through a few solo performances in the 80’s. I have been a huge fan of the Rat Pack my entire life and even though it wasn't the legendary shows that they were famous for, I still got to see them live, which was amazing.
Of course, I have also seen countless recordings of their original shows, and I believe ‘The Strangers In The Night’ Rat Pack Tribute Shows starring Nicholas Brooks (Sammy), Johnny Edwards (Dean) and David DeCosta (Frank) is the closest we will ever get to seeing that charisma and charm live and in person. It was superb!
Sin City Entertainment is always a pleasure to work with and their long list of impersonators and entertainers make my job a blast. I can’t wait till the next event! - MH
Oh those new years resolutions, gotta love em. I could just try something normal like quit smoking, but since I don’t smoke, that seems too easy. Or perhaps go on a diet, well I’m already vegan, so I don’t think diets come much more strict. No, none of those regular, run of the mill resolutions are for me. Mine always read more like a wish list (or maybe a ransom demands) rather than something I want to actually accomplish. I usually just put things on there that I wouldn't expect for Christmas. So I’m just gonna cross my fingers and hope really hard, and here goes:
1) Eat more Kale. (Had it for lunch. Check.)
2) Add a new photo booth to our fleet. (Oh wait, already purchased a new one yesterday! It will be ready by February. Yay! Check.)
3) Try and pull off a bow tie. (No, not really.)
4) Write more blog posts. (Already working on that one too. Check.)
5) Don’t drink any more. (Or any less either. Hiyoo!)
6) Kill it at the upcoming bridal show. (New signage and flyers have already been ordered. Check.)
7) New camera. (But I love the one I already have!)
8) Travel more. (Now that is one I can sink my teeth into.)
9) Make more lists. (Check.)
10) Take up a new habit: Maybe smoking!?
Overall it looks like I’m already nailing 2013. Here’s to the best year yet! Cheers! - MH
2012 is coming to an end, not the end that the Mayans had in mind, but an end never the less. I wanted to take the time to thank all of our amazing clients that we had the privilege of working with this year. You made it possible for us to grow with leaps and bounds and we are very grateful for that. And judging by how quickly next year’s calendar is filling up, 2013 is going to be even bigger and brighter. We can’t wait!
Now because of our wildly successful year, we were forced to expand pretty quickly and we’re lucky to have added some amazing people to our staff. We have assembled quite the team of talented photographers and photo booth hosts, but more importantly they are some of the most fun and energetic people we’ve ever had the privilege to work with.
As we look towards the future, we’d like to take just a minute to look back at all the fun we’ve had this year with our amazing staff, enjoy...
This pretty much explains it.
That wascally wabbit!
We had almost as much fun in the photo booth as the guests of Contiki.

No it's not the end of the world, streets were just cleared for the race.

It's rare when we get to play together. Three photographers at one event, NICE!
