At Glitter Lens Photography, we’ve been helping couples plan stress-free elopements in Las Vegas since 2010. Here’s everything you’ll need to make your big day easy and unforgettable.

What You Need to Get Married in Las Vegas:

• No waiting period, no blood tests. Just bring valid ID.

• Marriage License: Head to the Clark County Marriage License Bureau (open daily 8 AM – midnight). No appointment necessary.

• Fee: $102, payable by card or cash.

• Age Requirement: 18+.

• No witnesses needed to apply, but one is required during your ceremony, your photographer can often serve as witness (we’re happy to help with that!).

Getting Married in Vegas as a Non-U.S. Citizen
Las Vegas makes it easy for international couples to tie the knot. If you’re traveling from the UK, Canada, or most other countries, all you need is a valid passport, no special permits or visas required.

Recognition of your marriage back home is typically simple. UK couples will need to have their marriage certificate apostilled by the Nevada Secretary of State. Canadian couples usually only need the certified certificate, though a few provinces may require additional authentication.

How Long Does It Take?
If you’ve got your license in hand, you can be married the same day, no waiting period. You can plan ahead, or walk in and wing it, Vegas doesn’t mind either way.

Tips for an Easy Elopement:

• Pre-register online to save time at the license bureau.

• Book your ceremony team in advance; the officiant, photographer, location.

• Don’t forget about permits for some public locations like Red Rock or Nelson.

After the Ceremony: Marriage License & Certificates
Once you're officially married, your officiant will file your marriage certificate with the Clark County Clerk’s Office, this usually happens within just seven days. From there, you can order your official marriage certificate directly from the Clerk’s website. If you live outside the U.S., the process for registering your marriage back home varies slightly by country. Some international couples will also need to request an apostille, which authenticates your Nevada-issued certificate for international use.
